Lumecca™ is an IPL treatment designed to address a wide variety of skin concerns, enhancing skin tone and reducing hyperpigmentation. This intense pulsed light treatment effectively targets common skin issues such as aging, sun spots, rosacea, vascular lesions, and even acne.
Using advanced intense pulsed light skin treatment technology, Lumecca™ delivers precise beams of light and heat into the skin tissue. This process breaks up pigmentation while constricting facial veins near the surface, resulting in a more even complexion.
As the IPL skin treatment heats the skin, it helps eliminate unwanted pigment while simultaneously stimulating collagen production. With increased collagen levels, your skin undergoes natural remodelling, making it look firmer, healthier, and more radiant. Whether you are looking for an effective IPL facial treatment to reduce redness, sun damage, or signs of aging, Lumecca™ provides noticeable improvements with minimal downtime.
LUMECCA™ is a non-invasive treatment that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to improve skin appearance, targeting pigmented and vascular lesions.
After your treatment, pigmented lesions may darken for 1-2 weeks before gradually lightening. You may experience some redness and swelling around the treated areas as part of the natural healing process.
Blood vessels may appear darker as they clot for 1-2 weeks before gradually breaking down.
Although uncommon, side effects such as swelling, blistering, burning, or scarring may occur. Additionally, there is a chance of hyperpigmentation worsening temporarily.
You may notice some immediate skin tightening, and new collagen production will continue for up to two months following the procedure.
While complete clearance of pigmented and vascular lesions is not guaranteed, most patients require 1-3 sessions, depending on individual factors and response to treatment.
Some discomfort during the treatment is possible, along with a slight risk of side effects like scabbing, bruising, or blistering. These are typically rare and temporary, but any adverse reactions should be reported right away.
Not everyone is a suitable candidate for this treatment, and results can vary from person to person, so we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
Usually, 3-5 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.
Lumecca is not suitable for tanned or darkly pigmented skin, so it’s important to avoid excessive sun exposure for at least four weeks before treatment. To ensure your skin is ready, we recommend scheduling your treatment during the winter, early spring, or late fall.
Lumecca is also not recommended for treating Melasma, as it may exacerbate the condition. However, it’s possible to focus treatment on other areas of your skin, avoiding the Melasma spots.
If you’re unsure whether Lumecca is the right choice for you, we offer free initial consultations to assess your skin before proceeding. If Lumecca isn’t the best option for your skin or goals, we’ll help guide you toward the most suitable treatment.
