An Otoplasty is a cosmetic surgery to change the size, position and shape of the ears. Dr. Brown performs many of these surgeries on both men, woman and children of all ages. Under the age of 16, this procedure is a benefit of Medical Service Plan in most cases.

Where is the surgery performed?

Dr. Brown performs this procedure both at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and our Private procedure room in his office.

How long is the surgery?

Typically, surgery takes approximately 60 mins.

What is the recovery like after Otoplasty?

Patients are wrapped in a headband bandage for 1 week.  Once the bandage is removed the patient will need to wear a sports band headband for approximately 6 weeks.

What is the price of having an Otoplasty?

If the procedure is not covered by MSP, typically the cost of this procedure privately is $3000.00

Can this operation be covered by the Medical Service Plan?

This procedure is covered by MSP up to the age of 16.
